DailyLogGer: 45RPM Special Edition Denims 45RPM Special Edition Denims ================================================================================ TFXm on 28/09/2011 09:45:00 45RPM special edition denims - Aihiko, BC4000, BC4000 AI Indigo Vintage, Ainando, Suminando, Nando X Nando, White Sorahiko, Wool Denim, Akane, Kazehiko Aihiko :- Aihikos uses Zimbabwean cotton, Ai dyed to the core and with a white weft. Uses the same natural indigo dye Aizome process as Jomon and as result has got a purple hue on it. The denim is different from Jomon though, less slubby than the Jomon but moreso than the Sorahiko. Probably due the relatively faster setting of their Shuttle Looms, which translates into higher production volumes at a relatively cheaper rate. They are fitted with hidden rivets and the 45RPM print on the inside pocketbag. Aihikos are slimmer in cut than Jomons. The model was discontinued couple of years back. Price was around $550 while it was still available. Courtesy - chantheman BC4000 :- The BC4000 refers to the fabric 45RPM developed for this line, a lighter 9.5oz left hand twill, unlike the traditional right hand twill most denim is made of. They are kind of loose than the Sorahikos and the rise is a little bit longer as well. Selvedge, slubiness, texture and durability are almost same as that of Sorahikos, yet lighter. It is is a great lighter weight denim for the warmer months. Price was around $334 when the Sorahiko was selling at $333. New Sorahiko sale price is $368!! Courtesy - original owner Suminando :- They are overdyed Sorahikos. Synthetic indigo dyed then over dyed in black Sulphur. Only the warp threads that are overdyed, not the whole jean. They overdye them in ink before the denim is woven. Basically the blue jeans with black overdye, the color is definitley black with nice blue undertones. Similarly priced with Sorahikos. $333 Courtesy - coldrice Nando x Nando :- Synth dyed, surface dyed warp and weft, straight cut, great color and fades as they age. Suminando thread for the weft, Nando indigo thread for the warp. The Nandos are very similar in shape to Studio D'Artisan SD103s ie. slim, but certainly not skinny and the fit is between Sorahiko slim and Sorahiko regulars . They fades more or less like Pure Blue Japan 007 but without the famous PBJ slubbiness. Price was around $400 few years back. One wash cost $1160 and distressed are around $1300. Full cut but not too relaxed. Very nice, very pricey. Wool denim :- 2007 Autumn special , it’s mentioned as rough in texture on look-book.
